Almost Complete...

These are almost final! Please let me know of any last minute details that you would like to change. Also I have computed the distances between the parking points and the boat launch point. They are listed as fallows:

Point #4 to Point #9: 1.75 Miles
Point #9 to Point #11: 3.73 Miles

I have changed the label of Locks #6 - #10 to the Five Lock Combine and I have increased the size of the parking symobls for greater clairity. Currently, I am working on adding a legend, scale bar, north arrow, ect. A finished product of my maps should be completed by next week along with a draft of my poster presentation.

Update!

A few additions have been added to the map this week. Martindale boat basin has been added as point on the map. Also, a map has been created with parking symbols and another map has been created with boat launch sympbols for canoe and boat launching points along the Feeder Canal. I have attached 4 maps that include a layout with written lables, a layout with numbered lables, a layout that includes paking symbols, and a layout that includes boat launch symbols.

What do you think about the parking symbols and boat launch symbols? Do you like their placement? Would you want them both on one map?

Draft #2

After meeting with Jeannie Williams this past week, many updates have been completed on my draft. May points have been added or deleted. Also, points have been edited for a more accurate placement.The map looks less clustered and labels have been bolded for clarity. I have again attached two maps, one with text labels and one with number labels. The legend for the numbers is listed below.

Please take a look to make sure that all points are in the correct place. I am still not sure if Cooper's Cave and Finch Pruyn are in the correct places. Is there anything I left out?

Possible Additions:

• Addition of a different symbol for parking points on the map
• Addition of canoe, kayak, and fishing points

Map - Draft #1

I have completed a map of the Feeder Canal path with many of the important points along the path. Most of the path is in blue. However, I have made the detour for the area around Finch Pruyn in orange. Also, I am not exactly sure where the path ends. There are still a few stops to be added which include the silo's, Energy Park, and McIntyre Park. I have included two maps above, one with labels and one with numbers. I feel as if the labels can overcrowd the map and may better be included as a number. Much editing, including movement, coloring and size of labels still needs to be completed.
